My students need volleyballs for practice so they can work on their basic skills in bumping, setting, and hitting.
My Students
This is the second year that our school has a volleyball team. Last year, we had nine players on our 7th/8th grade team, and we survived practice with only six balls during the whole season. Almost all of our players are new to the sport, but we have heard that a few of them have gone on to play volleyball in high school after graduation. Starting this second year, we have more forty students who tried out for the team, and currently about 24 players remain for both the 5th/6th team and 7th/8th team.
Our players work hard during practice and in the games.
They are positive and encouraging towards their teammates even though we only have a small gym to practice. Many students are new to the sport, but they have been making progress due to their hard work and dedication. If anything, we are a team that cares for each other and grow together.
