Math Week 10-24-16

7th: The seventh graders will focus on learning about percents. We will start with a review on the meaning of percent and how to represent percent in visual models and mathematically. We will then solve tasks finding percent of, percent off (sales), and percent on (tips and tax).

8th: We will begin to explore the concept of slope and how it is related to the idea of rate of change. Students will be able to identify positive, negative, zero, and undefined slopes in a linear graph. Students will be able to find the slope from a linear graph.
