  1. Weekly Assignments: We have been listening to student and parent feedback and  we are trying to help students stay organized without feeling overwhelmed during Remote Learning. To that end, we will follow a consistent schedule of assignments. All assignments will be posted in Google Classroom. There will be 4 graded assignments each week.
  • Khan Academy: 5 exercises assigned by Monday morning each week. (We will also assign recommended videos for help with the exercises.) DUE FRIDAY by 11:59 p.m. This is your last Khan assignment.
  • Exit Ticket: Assigned for class Monday morning. This will be a direct follow-up to our Tuesday class and consist of 1 or 2 questions. It should not take more than 10 minutes to answer. Student responses help us plan for teaching and learning for the rest of the week. DUE TUESDAY by 11:59 p.m.
  • Classwork: NONE!
  • Kahoot!: Friday of each week we will do a Kahoot! as an assessment of the week’s learning. We will work on this during our class time together. We will also provide a link for students to attempt on their own if they cannot make it to class on Friday or want to redo the Kahoot for a higher score.. Due the following Tuesday by 11:59 p.m.
  • Practice: Ungraded recommendations for further practice or enrichment. Labelled as “Practice” and will consist of games, puzzles, and high school challenge tasks. NOT GRADED
  1. LATE WORK: Use this form for turning in late work: Late Work Form The cut-off for late, make-up, and redo assignments in Mr. Albrecht's math classes is Thursday, JUNE 11 at 11:59 p.m.
  2. Packets: Students and families may choose alternate packet work in place of the online teaching and learning. Please contact me at lalbrecht@cps.edu and I can put you in touch with a Ray administrator who will work with you on a packet pick-up and drop-off schedule.
  3. Grades: Starting Monday, 5-4-20 I will be grading and entering grades based on the CPS policy announced 4-30-20. CPS 4TH QUARTER GRADING POLICY
  4. Time expectations: CPS is recommending at least 180 total minutes a day for all student learning. Math is just a part of that (30 minutes to be exact). I am trying to plan with that in mind. We will check in on April 27, 2020 and see how the first two weeks went and what changes might be needed.
  5. Office Hours: 1:15 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily by appointment. Meetings via email, Google Classroom chat, or Google Hangouts chat, or JamBoard.
  6. Technology: link to letter from Ray: Tech Letter
  7. Communication with students: Google Classroom, CPS email, Google Meet (whole class), Google Hangout chat
  8. Communication with parents/families: email, Class Dojo, blog.
