Women in STEM club at the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools

From the Women in STEM club:

Women in STEM club at the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools. WiSTEM is a nationwide program centered around women involved in STEM here in Chicago, with additional chapters in New York, Indiana, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

We have launched initiatives such as mentorships, professional/professor networking events, and city-wide workshops developed with other high schools to ultimately improve our views/biases on the issue and streamline more girls into STEM fields. If you would like to learn more about our mission, please a look at our website: womeninstem.org.

We are hosting an outreach event on: Saturday, December 1st. We will be hosting several science workshops and are looking for elementary school girls to come participate and get engaged. We will also have a presentation and guest speaker attending. We will follow up with more specific information and an interest form as the date approaches.

We would really appreciate it if you could encourage your female math and science students to sign up and get tickets for this event, along with teachers, if interested. Please reach out if you have any questions, and we would love to connect.
