7th Loyola: We continue to learn about proportions and how to tell if a relationship is proportional. Based on student readiness level, students will practice with unit rates, find the constant of proportionality in relationships, or graph proportional relationships from equations.
7th Chicago: We continue to practice with unit rates. We also use unit rates to compare relationships. For example, comparing unit rates at the grocery store to see which product i the better buy.
8th DePaul: We continue to investigate really big and really small numbers using scientific notation. We will start multiplying and dividing numbers written in scientific notation.
8th UIC: We finish with how to multiply and divide numbers in scientific notation. We practice translating between algebraic expressions and written English statements.
