International Night this Wednesday 10-17-18 from 5:30 to 8!
7th Loyola: We take what we have learned about proportions and extend the thinking around constant of proportionality and start exploring the concept of slope.
7th Chicago: We continue to practice with unit rates. We look at how all measurement conversion is done with unit rates. Ex: 12 inches=1 foot, 1000 milligrams=1 gram.
8th DePaul: We next look at determining proportionality of relationships and then determining the constant of proportionality if the relationship is proportional. This leads to a discussion of how this is seen graphically and how slope is the same as the constant of proportionality.
8th UIC: We solve equations in one variable. Nice article here about why.
