T-Shirt Contest Deadline is 10-17-18

Ray’s T-Shirt Design Contest is almost over. Submissions are due on Wednesday, October 17th. All designs should adhere to the following guidelines:
  • Should incorporate a "Ray Theme". Kindness, working together, and diversity are great ideas. Any riff on the Warrior idea is good too. Even a creative typography approach works. Images of Winnie-the-Pooh, Fortnite, or Steven Universe are not as optimal.
  • Due to cost constraints, all submissions must be in a single-color. It could be any color, but in order to keep costs down it has to be a monocolor design. Lesson Plan Idea: Teach the kids a new word (monocolor!) and let them apply it’s definition as a stunning design! (You can thank me later.)
  • The image must be smaller that 12” x 12”. However, because that concept is a spatial-abstraction to most kids, I recommend anything that fits on a blank, letter-sized piece of paper works great. Have them design big: designs that are too small (smaller than their fist) can be difficult to size-up.

The designs can be drawn, painted, computer-based, whatever. So long as they meet that above criteria – Ray theme, monocolor, appropriate size in a two-dimensional format  – they’ll be entered into the contest. The winner will receive a gift card to their favorite restaurant, a free T-shirt with their design on it, and bragging rights for the entire year.

Final submissions can be handed in to Mr. Beestrum or Mr. Albrecht
