NO SCHOOL ON OCTOBER 8, 2018--Columbus Day
7th Loyola: We continue to learn about proportions. We will look at determining when a relationship is directly proportional.
7th Chicago: We continue to practice with unit rates. We also use unit rates to compare relationships. For example, comparing unit rates at the grocery store to see which product is the better buy.
8th DePaul: We finish with really big and really small numbers using scientific notation. We will start multiplying and dividing numbers written in scientific notation. We next look at determining proportionality of relationships and then determining the constant of proportionality if the relationship is proportional.
8th UIC: We finish with how to multiply and divide numbers in scientific notation. We practice translating between algebraic expressions and written English statements. We will review combining like terms.
